NEWS FLASH - Liberty Mutual acquired Safeco in 2008, and this is simply a brand consolidation - it won't change your coverage.
I am still your agent - nothing about our relationship changes. Same great people helping you. Just a phone call, email or text away.
Your current policy, coverages, discounts and benefits will remain the same. Any future changes to premiums or coverages will follow the standard renewal process.
You don't need a new ID card. You'll receive a Liberty Mutual-branded ID card when your policy renews after the brand change.
Future renewals and communications will show the Liberty Mutual name; billing and payment information will transfer automatically.
RightTrack Users
Keep using the Safeco RightTrack app until you're notified. You'll get an in-app prompt when it's time to switch; driving history, scores, Accident Assistance will transfer. 1923: General Insurance Company of America Founded
1925: Formed General Casualty Company of America
1946: Clayton Hanley becomes Appointed with General Casualty Company of America
1953: Launched the 'Selective Auto and Fire Ensurance Company of America (shortened to SAFECO)
1968: Parent company rebranded to Safeco Companies
2008: Acquired by Liberty Mutual, through it continued to operate under the Safeco brand.
2026: Safeco is rebranded to Liberty Mutual
