Motorcycle Insurance

Enjoy Your Bike Safely and Legally

Riding a motorcycle in the St. Louis area is fantastic, with so many great places to enjoy. However, the state of Missouri requires that you have adequate motorcycle insurance to protect you and other people on the road, just like auto insurance.

The minimum insurance you must carry is:

  • $25,000 for death or bodily injury to one person
  • $50,000 for death or bodily injury to two or more persons
  • $10,000 for damage or destruction of property

Bodily Injury Coverage

If someone else is injured in an accident where you are at fault, this coverage pays their medical bills.

Property Damage Coverage

If property is damaged when you are at fault in an accident, this coverage pays for repair or replacement. That includes other vehicles, landscaping, fencing, signposts, and the like.

Consider Additional Coverage for Your Motorcycle

We often recommend additional coverage to our clients in St. Louis insuring their motorcycles:

  • Medical coverage for you and passengers (not included with liability insurance)
  • Custom parts and equipment (ideal if you have an expensive or vintage bike)
  • OEM parts replacement
  • Safety Riding Apparel coverage
  • Enhanced Injury protection
  • Uninsured motorist coverage (if someone without insurance is at fault in an accident)
  • Roadside assistance (just like for your car, in case you are stranded)

At Clayton Hanley Insurance we’re independent >span class="s1">agents, so we have more motorcycle insurance companies and products at our disposal than big companies. We’ll chat with you about your bike usage, off-season insurance, driving record, and deductible to put together an insurance policy tailored for you.

We also offer coverage on other recreational vehicles including cruisers, sport bikes, touring bikes, dirt bikes, mopeds, scooters, ATV’s, UTV’s and snowmobiles – even custom motorcycles more than 25 years old.>span class="Apple-converted-space">
